Visual FoxPro (VFP) Consulting & Rescue
I'm Thurston Clark — I've worked in FoxPro continuously since version 2.6, through every Visual FoxPro release to 9.0. I fix corrupt databases, repair what Windows updates break, stabilize critical applications, and migrate them when you're ready.

The FoxPro problems I solve
DBF / index / memo corruption — diagnosis, repair, and recovery, plus finding why it keeps happening.
Broken by Windows updates — 64-bit Windows, printer drivers, mapped drives, and permission issues that kill old FoxPro apps.
"Nobody knows how it works" — codebase archaeology: I map the application, document it, and make it supportable again.
Needs to talk to the modern world — web frontends on your DBF data, exports, and integrations.
Time to migrate — phased FoxPro-to-web migrations, scoped honestly after a Health Check.
FoxPro 2.6 · Visual FoxPro 3–9.0 · DBF / DBC · SQL pass-through · Inno Setup
Why a FoxPro specialist who also builds for the web
Most FoxPro consultants time-traveled from 2003. I maintain a commercial FoxPro application to this day — and I also build modern PHP web platforms, including the Stripe-integrated store and secure delivery system behind IndustryDocs. So I can:
• Keep your FoxPro application alive and give it a browser-based frontend your users can reach from anywhere.
• Bridge FoxPro data to the web the way I did in the 2000s — multi-tier systems with web frontends talking through to FoxPro tables.
• Migrate you to a modern PHP web application when the time comes — designed and deployed by someone who runs his own hardened Debian/nginx infrastructure, not just theory.
Field notes
My own product, four FoxPro generations. Mechanic's Mate CMMS started in FoxPro 2.6. I carried it through every Visual FoxPro release to 9.0 and rebuilt its installer (InstallShield → Inno Setup) for 64-bit Windows when the old one stopped working. Nobody maintains a FoxPro app longer than the person who never left.
A tank farm's reporting system, running blind. Built a networked tank data acquisition and reporting system in Visual FoxPro 5.0 OOP with real-time graphing — the kind of system where "the computer is down" means operations is guessing. It ran, and kept running.
Maintenance software for PSM plants. At Compliance Technologies I built the administration add-on for a FoxPro-based maintenance management application: preventive maintenance calendar with filtering, MSGraph charting for completion stats — software used inside regulated chemical plants.

Web Enablement & Migration — fixed-price, scoped after Health Check. Browser frontends on your FoxPro data, or full migration to a modern PHP web application.
Questions
Which FoxPro versions do you cover? FoxPro 2.6 for DOS/Windows through Visual FoxPro 9.0, including DBF/DBC back ends and SQL pass-through to SQL Server.
Can you recover a corrupt DBF? Usually yes — and more importantly, I find the cause (network drops, bad shutdowns, memo bloat) so it stops recurring.
Our app broke on 64-bit Windows. Is that fixable? Very often. I've done this migration path on my own commercial product — installer, drivers, paths, and permissions.
Can our FoxPro data be accessed from a browser? Yes — that's the web-enablement service: a modern PHP frontend reading your existing data, so users get browser access without replacing the system.
Do you work remotely? Yes, worldwide. On-site when needed.
Let's look at your system.
